Authors of luxury's visual and spatial language.

These are the people who decide what luxury hospitality looks like and how a guest moves through it. They are not commissioned decorators; their work sets the terms that owners and operators then inherit.

Ed Tuttle and Jean-Michel Gathy gave Aman a grammar that a generation of resorts has copied. Kerry Hill and Jaya Ibrahim established a modern Asian register that displaced the imported colonial one. Bill Bensley made narrative architecture commercially viable. Pierre-Yves Rochon, Peter Marino, Tony Chi, Yabu Pushelberg, André Fu, Peter Remedios, Adam Tihany and Jacques Garcia carry the same language into city hotels, restaurants and grand-hotel restoration.

The group exists because attributing a house solely to its owner would be false. Where a designer's authorship is the reason a house matters, the designer holds a code of their own and the house cross-references it.

What the group does not settle: attribution. Studios are collaborative, credit is commercially negotiated, and several entries here carry an open attribution note rather than a claim the sources do not support.

Notes on the register. Seven groups follow the model, never the era: the axis is whose capital and whose authorship. Paired entries carry one code where authorship is genuinely joint. A closed record marks a life concluded — the code and the history stand (§11). One candidacy is suspended under §18.4.1 while its subject holds public office, its brand anchor already resident in the register.
