1 · ⚑ POSITION
Reynolds founded LHL-029 ÀNI Private Resorts and the non-profit ÀNI Art Academies in the same year, 2010, and his own account of the order is the entry: You can build a school, donate it to the community and walk away, which is noble, but running it was important to me. It became obvious that you needed a support resort. Each resort sits near its academy, which teaches an intensive multi-year art education at no cost to the student. No other entry in this register describes a hotel company created to endow a school.
2 · HOW IT BEGAN
He and his wife were looking for a holiday home that would become their retirement house, built ten suites on Anguilla, and that became the first resort — the same shape as LHL-026 Vik Retreats and LHL-027 Virgin Limited Edition. Four resorts take one group at a time, with more than one member of staff per guest.
3 · CANDOUR
⚑ He is described as a founder of Jane Street Capital; the resorts are privately owned and no financial detail is published. He was left paraplegic by a near-fatal accident, which the trade press treats as part of the founding story and which this entry records once, as fact, without building an argument on it.
