Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts occupies a distinctive niche inside Hyatt’s all-inclusive portfolio: small-scale, adult-oriented luxury resorts in which wellness, privacy, personalised service and destination culture are placed ahead of entertainment-led resort programming. Hyatt describes Zoëtry as a collection of boutique havens centred around wellbeing and the “Art of Life”. Its signature Endless Privileges® model reworks all-inclusive hospitality around à la carte dining, premium beverages, 24-hour in-suite dining, concierge service, wellness experiences and cultural enrichment rather than the conventional large-resort buffet-and-activity formula. The brand therefore sits at the luxury and wellness end of Hyatt Inclusive Collection. It is less clinically structured than destination-health institutions such as Chiva-Som or VIVAMAYR, but more explicitly wellness-oriented and intimate than most mainstream all-inclusive resort brands.
Corporate History
Zoëtry developed within AMResorts, the resort-brand management business of Apple Leisure Group. Before Hyatt ownership, Zoëtry formed part of the AMR Collection alongside brands including Secrets, Dreams and Breathless. In August 2021 Hyatt announced an agreement to acquire Apple Leisure Group from affiliates of KKR and KSL Capital Partners for $2.7 billion in cash. Hyatt explicitly identified Zoëtry among the AMResorts brands whose global expansion would become part of the enlarged company. Hyatt completed the acquisition on November 1, 2021. The transaction transformed Hyatt’s position in leisure and luxury all-inclusive travel and brought the AMResorts portfolio, including Zoëtry, into Hyatt. Subsequently, the former AMR Collection brands were integrated into Hyatt Inclusive Collection and into World of Hyatt. Zoëtry now operates as one of Hyatt’s dedicated all-inclusive brands rather than as an independent wellness company.
Brand Philosophy — The Art of Life
Zoëtry frames its philosophy as The Art of Life®. The emphasis is on slowing the pace of the resort stay and creating space for wellbeing, personal attention, relationships and connection with the culture and stories of the destination. The brand does not define wellness through a single medical doctrine or therapeutic protocol. Instead, wellbeing is woven through spa, fitness, food, rest, personalised service and enrichment activities. This makes Zoëtry fundamentally a hospitality-led wellness proposition. The guest is still on a luxury resort holiday; wellness changes the tone and structure of that holiday rather than replacing it with a clinic or intensive retreat.
Endless Privileges®
Endless Privileges® is Zoëtry’s principal operating and commercial signature. Hyatt describes it as an attempt to re-imagine all-inclusive hospitality so that it becomes intimate, personal and centred around wellbeing. Core inclusions currently presented by Hyatt include gourmet à la carte dining, locally influenced and organic food and beverage selections, cuisine adapted to dietary needs, premium spirits, 24-hour private in-suite dining, a refreshed minibar, concierge service, multiple daily housekeeping touches, Wi-Fi, selected laundry, afternoon teatime, a short wellness or fitness experience and artistic, cultural and wellbeing activities. The importance of Endless Privileges is conceptual as well as financial. It moves Zoëtry away from the language of package value and toward a promise that friction has been removed from the stay. The guest is encouraged to experience the resort without repeatedly calculating supplementary charges for ordinary luxury-hospitality needs.
Wellness & Spa Philosophy
Wellness at Zoëtry is broad, accessible and resort-oriented. Hyatt’s development description places world-class spas, fitness facilities, private suites and wellbeing experiences at the heart of the brand. The spa is therefore important, but Zoëtry is not organised around a single proprietary medical method. Treatments, fitness, relaxation, nourishing food and individual wellbeing activities are combined with the broader all-inclusive stay. Endless Privileges includes a short wellness experience or fitness consultation, while individual resorts can add more substantial spa rituals, hydrotherapy, indigenous treatments, yoga, meditation and destination-specific activities. The model is particularly suited to guests who want wellness to influence a holiday without making a medical or transformational programme the sole purpose of travel.
Architecture & Sense of Place
Zoëtry is designed as a boutique collection rather than a rigid architectural system. Hyatt emphasises the distinctive culture, heritage, natural beauty and stories of each destination. This produces materially different properties. Zoëtry Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres is shaped by the sea, Mexican-Mediterranean culture and its Casa Rolandi restaurant. Zoëtry Mallorca occupies a restored historic Majorcan estate with a neo-Gothic church and windmill. Zoëtry Marigot Bay is organised around a marina setting in Saint Lucia, while Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana uses a low-rise tropical resort vocabulary. The common design requirement is intimacy. Zoëtry’s development positioning stresses private suites, pools, terraces and a design-forward boutique scale rather than the density and entertainment infrastructure of a mass all-inclusive resort.
Brand Characteristics
Boutique all-inclusive — smaller scale and greater privacy than the mainstream resort model. Adult-oriented rather than universally adults-only — Hyatt notes that children may be permitted at some resorts. Endless Privileges® — a high-touch inclusion architecture built around dining, service, amenities and enrichment. Wellness without clinicalisation — spa, fitness, nutrition and relaxation are important, but the brand remains resort hospitality. Destination culture — local history, cuisine and experiences are intended to distinguish each property. Personal service — 24-hour concierge, in-suite dining and frequent housekeeping reinforce the high-touch positioning. Hyatt ecosystem — distribution, development and loyalty are now connected to Hyatt Inclusive Collection and World of Hyatt.
Representative Resorts
Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana · Dominican Republic — A 92-suite beachfront retreat in Uvero Alto and one of the brand’s best-established expressions. Hyatt highlights nature, local culture, gourmet dining, indigenous spa treatments and Endless Privileges. Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres · Mexico — A small island resort reached with a private-yacht arrival, combining spa, sea and the long-established Casa Rolandi culinary identity. Zoëtry Curaçao Resort & Spa · Curaçao — An all-suite tropical property whose guests also receive access to neighbouring Dreams Curaçao, illustrating the operational advantages of the wider Inclusive Collection platform. Zoëtry Mallorca · Spain — A restored historic Majorcan estate that demonstrates the brand’s ability to move beyond Caribbean beach resorts into European heritage hospitality. Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia · Saint Lucia — A marina resort combining suites, personalised service and the Endless Privileges model in a Caribbean yachting setting.
Portfolio & Development
Hyatt’s current development profile lists seven open Zoëtry hotels in seven cities. The consumer resort directory spans Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Curaçao, Saint Lucia and Spain, while Hyatt continues to position the brand for further resort development. Zoëtry’s expansion strategy differs from high-volume all-inclusive brands. Hyatt presents it to owners as an intimate, design-forward concept aimed at discerning, health-conscious travellers, couples, adult families and solo guests. The brand therefore has a deliberately narrower role inside Hyatt Inclusive Collection: it is a luxury boutique wellness flag rather than a volume engine.
Competitive Position
Within Hyatt Inclusive Collection, Secrets Resorts & Spas is more explicitly focused on adults-only romance and larger luxury beach-resort demand. Impression by Secrets pushes further into personalised ultra-luxury all-inclusive hospitality. Zoëtry differentiates itself through wellness, boutique scale, enrichment and a quieter service rhythm. Compared with Miraval Resorts & Spas, Zoëtry is more recognisably a leisure all-inclusive resort. Miraval’s product is built around an unusually dense schedule of experiential wellness programming; Zoëtry integrates lighter wellness into a luxury holiday structure. Compared with Chiva-Som, Kamalaya or VIVAMAYR, Zoëtry is substantially less programme-led and less therapeutic. Its closest competitive set is the growing category of small luxury all-inclusive resorts that use spa, nutrition and wellbeing to elevate the resort experience.
World of Hyatt
Zoëtry participates in World of Hyatt. Hyatt explicitly includes Zoëtry among the Inclusive Collection brands at which members can redeem points for all-inclusive stays, subject to the programme’s award chart and participating-resort rules. Property pages also promote earning and redeeming points, member rates, qualifying nights and other World of Hyatt benefits. For LHL classification, the loyalty programme should therefore be recorded as World of Hyatt rather than as a separate proprietary Zoëtry programme.
What This Model Does Not Solve
Zoëtry should not be confused with a medical-wellness clinic or a destination retreat built around a prescribed therapeutic programme. A guest seeking physician-led diagnostics, therapeutic fasting, intensive metabolic intervention or a tightly structured transformation programme will find deeper specialist infrastructure elsewhere. Nor is every Zoëtry property identical in its wellness depth or inclusions. Hyatt itself notes that offerings, frequency and hours can vary by resort and room category. The brand promise is therefore a framework rather than a guarantee that every activity or benefit is delivered in exactly the same form everywhere. The all-inclusive structure also remains fundamental. Travellers who prefer a traditional à la carte luxury hotel with minimal bundled consumption may find the operating model less natural than a conventional independent resort.
Conclusion
Zoëtry is important because it demonstrates how the all-inclusive format can be repositioned for a quieter and more wellness-conscious luxury traveller. Rather than compete through scale, entertainment or a huge inventory of facilities, the brand uses boutique dimensions, personal service, spa, food, destination culture and Endless Privileges to create a more refined version of inclusive hospitality. Hyatt’s acquisition of Apple Leisure Group gave Zoëtry a global corporate platform and World of Hyatt integration. Its strategic role is now clear: within Hyatt Inclusive Collection, Zoëtry is the specialist flag for intimate, adult-oriented, wellness-inflected all-inclusive luxury.
