1 · Opening
Jimmy'z has run in Monte-Carlo since 1971 and has never been an independent business. It is one department of Société des Bains de Mer.
2 · Why it matters
That is precisely why it is here. Almost every other entry in this group is a standalone venture whose economics rise and fall on its own door. Jimmy'z demonstrates the alternative: a club operated as one stage of a guest's circuit through casino, restaurant, hotel and terrace, all owned by the same company.
The model has an obvious advantage. The club does not need to be profitable in isolation, because its function is to hold the guest inside the estate for the rest of the night. Integrated resorts in Las Vegas and Macau reached the same conclusion thirty years later.
3 · Signature & ritual
The garden room that opens to the sky, a season that follows the Riviera calendar rather than the club calendar, and a crowd delivered by the hotels upstairs.
4 · What this house does not solve
A club inside a monopoly is protected from the market and therefore from the correction the market applies. It can remain open long after it has stopped being interesting.
Its crowd is inherited from the group's hotels, which makes it a reflection of Monaco's demographics rather than an author of anything.
And a single-market house in a principality of two square kilometres has nowhere to expand and no way to diversify.

7 · LHL story
“The Club That Does Not Need To Make Money” — When the casino, the hotel and the restaurant belong to the same company, the nightclub is not a business. It is a way of not letting the evening leave.
