The house account is specific: converting Chesa Veglia into a restaurant was Helen Badrutt's idea, and it is recorded as one of the defining decisions in the culinary history of St Moritz. She and Hans kept the rustic character of the farmhouse rather than smoothing it into a hotel dining room, which is why the building still reads as what it was.
2 · WHY SHE IS IN THE LIBRARY
This is the fifth time in one working week the register has had to add a woman named in the founding account and absent from the entries — after Marguerite Boucicaut, the Carita sisters, Nathalie Bouchon-Poiroux, and here. The pattern is not a coincidence and the Library should stop needing to be told. §21 says a house made by two people is recorded as made by two people; it now applies here.

Dates, origins and her role after 1935 are not established here. The entry exists on one well-sourced decision, and says so.
