JAZ Hotel Group

JAZ Hotel Group is the hospitality division of Travco Group International. Its Egyptian geography brings together beach holidays and journeys along the Nile: Hurghada, Makadi Bay, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam belong to the resort map, while Luxor and Aswan define the river connection. Almaza Bay adds a Mediterranean address to that pattern. [1]

1 · POSITION

JAZ Hotel Group is the hospitality division of Travco Group International. Its Egyptian geography brings together beach holidays and journeys along the Nile: Hurghada, Makadi Bay, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam belong to the resort map, while Luxor and Aswan define the river connection. Almaza Bay adds a Mediterranean address to that pattern. [1]

2 · BEHIND THE HOTEL NAME

Travco's travel business dates to 1979 and provides destination services including transport, guiding and holiday organisation. The hotel division sits within this broader tourism enterprise. That context helps explain the breadth of JAZ's proposition: accommodation can form part of a journey supported by an established local travel operation, rather than standing alone at the end of an airline booking. [2]

3 · TWO SIZES OF RESORT

Travco identifies two additions in 2025 that show the range within the portfolio. JAZ Elite Asteria at Sahl Hasheesh has 633 rooms and suites; JAZ Almaza BLU at Almaza Bay has 138. One is a substantial Red Sea beachfront operation, the other a smaller Mediterranean resort. The contrast gives more useful information than a single group-wide luxury label: the same organisation serves materially different scales of holiday accommodation. [1]

4 · THE RIVER CHANGES ITS NAME

Travco has announced the renaming of JAZ Cruises as JAZ Voyages. Its announcement describes 24 vessels, encompassing cruise collections and dahabeyas. The Nile business therefore needs to be read alongside the land-based hotels, with different accommodation formats and a route whose stops are central to the experience. The published link still leads to the JAZ Cruises web domain, illustrating the overlap between old and new commercial names. [3]

5 · ⚑ CANDOUR

⚑ Travco's portfolio page mixes reported openings with future projects and inconsistent portfolio totals. Announced developments are not counted here as operating hotels. The 24-vessel figure is attributed to the company's rebranding announcement, rather than independently audited. [1, 3]
