1 · POSITION
Christophe Piquet’s documented contribution sits at the meeting point of residential sales and resort hospitality. At Heritage Villas Valriche, he leads the commercial presentation of homes whose appeal includes access to a larger estate and its services. His role is supported by employer profiles, interviews and dated accounts of sales activity. The evidence identifies a commercial executive within an established development. It does not establish him as the founder of Valriche, the creator of Heritage Resorts or the originator of their residential model. [1–5]
2 · EDUCATION AND INTERNATIONAL WORK
Agrïa’s profile identifies business administration studies at HEC Montréal, specialising in finance and international trade, followed by a master’s qualification at LUISS. The profile places his early career in export sales. This background helps explain his subsequent responsibility for international clients and partners. It is a professional trajectory into residential development through commercial work, rather than through hotel operations, architecture or ownership of the estate. [1]
3 · THE RTSYS APPOINTMENT
A company appointment announcement carried by Ocean News & Technology on 4 December 2017 named Piquet Head of Sales and Marketing at RTsys. It described previous roles at Safran Electronics & Defence from 2010 and responsibilities in international sales, marketing and partnerships. This contemporary record corroborates the broad career history later published by Agrïa. It also provides a firmer basis than matching the name to unrelated company-director records. [2]
4 · JOINING VALRICHE
Agrïa dates Piquet’s arrival at Heritage Villas Valriche to August 2020. Its present profile assigns him sales and marketing strategy, client and partner relationships, and negotiations with international investors. Those responsibilities define the scope of this card. The residential estate already existed: its own website dates establishment to 2008. Piquet entered an ongoing business and helped communicate and sell its proposition during a later phase of development. [1, 4]
5 · THE ESTATE BEFORE THE EXECUTIVE
Heritage Villas Valriche presents itself as a residential estate within Bel Ombre, with private homes, plots and an owners’ club. Its published description uses 288 villas for the development and 2,500 hectares for the wider setting. These figures describe different scales and should not be collapsed into one residential footprint. Nor does a published development total by itself establish how many houses were completed, occupied or available at any particular date. [4]
6 · RESIDENTIAL SALES AND RESORT OPERATIONS
The 2021 joint interview with Piquet and Raoul Maurel offers a useful division of responsibility. Piquet introduced himself through Valriche’s property-development business; Maurel described the hotel and leisure operation, including the villa rental division, golf, beach club and the two beach hotels. Their joint appearance made the combined offer visible while preserving two distinct functions. Selling a residence and operating the services around it remain different kinds of work. [5]
7 · SEVERAL ROUTES INTO OWNERSHIP
In that interview, Piquet described land sales, resales and villas sold before completion. He also explained that purchasers of certain plots could choose their architect and builder within the estate’s requirements. These alternatives create different commercial conversations: selecting an existing home, commissioning construction or buying a future completed property. The interview documents how he explained the offer in 2021; it is not a current inventory or a statement of the terms applying to every property. [5]
8 · THE SERVICE PROPOSITION BEYOND THE VILLA
The Owners Club page presents maintenance, security, rental management and access to resort amenities as parts of the ownership experience. This makes the commercial proposition broader than the building itself. For a prospective resident, a house’s usefulness also depends on how it can be cared for, enjoyed and managed between visits. Piquet’s documented sales role therefore concerns a continuing service relationship as well as a real-estate transaction. The sources do not establish that he designed the club or its service contracts. [1, 6]
9 · THE PUBLISHED 2069 HORIZON
Both the 2021 interview and the Owners Club page refer to privileged resort access extending to 2069. The long horizon is significant to the way the residence is presented: the relationship with hospitality is described as continuing beyond the initial purchase. The underlying agreement has not been examined for this master. The date is recorded as a published commercial representation, without interpreting enforceability, transfer provisions, charges or the rights attached to a particular villa. [5, 6]
10 · RENTAL MANAGEMENT HAS A SEPARATE OPERATOR
The Owners Club page identifies Heritage Resorts as the appointed operator of Heritage The Villas. That is a useful distinction between the residential sales identity, Heritage Villas Valriche, and the hospitality rental offer. The relationship does not make every privately owned villa continuously available to hotel guests. The card records the published service structure; it makes no claim about individual participation, occupancy, income or investment returns. [6]
11 · GOLF AS A WAY OF USING THE ESTATE
A Valriche article published on 3 November 2022 links to an interview with Piquet conducted in 2021 around the Heritage World Cup. His presentation connected property ownership with golf and family use of the estate. This is evidence of a particular marketing approach: the home is explained through activities that could form a repeated routine. Historic membership prices and age conditions in that interview are not carried forward as current benefits. [7]
12 · FROM A PROPOSED COURSE TO AN OPERATING VENUE
The earlier golf interview spoke about a second course as future development. Heritage Resorts’ subsequent tournament record confirms that La Réserve Golf Links hosted the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open on 14–17 December 2023. It names Louis Oosthuizen and Peter Matkovich as the design partnership. This later evidence establishes a realised amenity. It does not give Piquet credit for designing, building or opening the course, or make him responsible for the tournament’s organisation. [7, 8]
13 · SPEAKING TO THE FRENCH BUSINESS MARKET
Valriche’s 31 March 2021 news item reported that Piquet and then CEO Anton de Waal appeared in a Mauritius issue of MEDEF’s C’est à vous magazine. The estate’s account says they discussed its property offer, projects and owner benefits. This provides a dated example of commercial outreach beyond conventional holiday marketing. The intended conversation concerned owning and using property in Mauritius, with resort access forming part of that explanation. [9]
14 · TAKING THE OFFER TO EUROPE
A company report published on 22 June 2023 describes Piquet travelling to European cities that March to meet prospective buyers. It names Nice, London, Brussels and Luxembourg, reports around thirty meetings and attributes four sales to the trip. These are employer-reported results, not an independent sales audit. Nevertheless, the account is specific enough to document an activity and its claimed outcome, rather than relying only on a general description of his job. [10]
15 · THE LIMITS OF A SALES SNAPSHOT
The same report discusses additional pre-completion transactions and remaining stock. Those statements belong to their publication date. They cannot be used to infer today’s availability, the completion of every transaction or the commercial contribution of one person across the entire estate. For this biography, their value is narrower: they show Piquet’s role in an active international sales programme during 2023. The master does not turn the developer’s commercial updates into promises to buyers. [10]
16 · A TEAM RATHER THAN A SINGLE AUTHOR
The current Valriche team page identifies Thierry Sauzier as CEO, with his appointment dated 1 July 2024, and Piquet as commercial and marketing director. It also identifies Jean-Michel Loustau-Lalanne in operations and Jean-Luc Gungurum in project delivery. This distribution matters because the owner’s experience crosses several responsibilities. Marketing can describe a service promise, but delivery depends on operational and construction teams whose contribution remains separate. The published claim of more than eighty sales in three years is a team claim, not a verified personal total. [3]
17 · RELATED PEOPLE AND COMPANIES
Raoul Maurel is the strongest operational counterpart documented in the joint interview. Peter Matkovich and Louis Oosthuizen are relevant to the estate’s golf architecture, not to Piquet’s personal authorship.
Company and property research should follow Heritage Villas Valriche, Agrïa, Heritage Resorts, Heritage The Villas, Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali and the Bel Ombre estate. The residential developer, rental operation, hotel brand and individual hotels should receive distinct relationship fields. RTsys and Safran belong to Piquet’s career chronology; their presence here does not nominate them as luxury-hospitality companies.
18 · ANCHOR AND ADMISSION REVIEW
⚑ LHL-P-641 was issued through the Private Residences submission. The next registry action should be to resolve or nominate Heritage Villas Valriche and its relationship with Heritage Resorts by name. No new number is assigned in this master.
The Library’s authorship test also remains material. Public evidence establishes commercial leadership and participation in selling a resort-linked residential offer. It does not yet demonstrate that Piquet created a hospitality model subsequently reproduced by others. The issued People code is retained, but the entry’s significance is recorded at the level the sources support. A stronger admission case would require evidence of his own product, programme or service-model decisions.
19 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ Employer biographies describe Piquet’s LUISS qualification differently from the 2017 appointment announcement: European Studies in one, Political Science in the other. The master names the institution and qualification level without resolving the precise degree title. Employer and developer material supplies most of the evidence; the interviews are direct statements in commercial settings.
The 2069 access statement is not a reviewed contract. Published sales totals are unaudited and date-bound. Older rates, stock levels and future-development predictions are not current facts. The 2023 tournament supplies completion-era evidence for La Réserve as a functioning venue, separate from Piquet’s earlier promotional role. Namesakes found in unrelated registries are excluded; no unverified birth date or ownership history is assigned.
20 · ASSESSMENT
Piquet is best understood as a commercial participant in the relationship between private residence and resort. His documented work translates a combined offer of home, leisure and services for international buyers and partners. The case is useful to the Library because it exposes the division between communicating that offer and creating or operating it. The record supports a precise professional profile, with its anchor gap and authorship limits visible, rather than an enlarged founder narrative.
