Opened 23 September 2026, empty. A name from a trade with no hospitality of its own — media, sport, cinema, motor, a museum — let to a house that somebody else runs.
The luxury maisons stay in Volume 1. Fashion, crystal, jewellery and food houses came into hospitality themselves, and what they make is their subject. Here the trade of origin is the whole point, and the licensor never operates: a studio does not run a hotel, a football club does not run residences, a magazine does not run a resort.
Disney, MGM and Universal are held as operators — LHL-165, LHL-184, LHL-166 — because in those houses they run what carries their name. That says nothing about their other deals: the volume takes roles, not companies, and the same name can stand outside it in one place and inside it in another.
⚑ 25 September 2026, and the rule needed sharpening on its first real test. Disneyland Abu Dhabi, announced on 7 May 2025, is owned by LHL-513 Miral under licence from Disney — while Disney runs its own hotels in Florida and California. One company, both sides of this line, in different deals. So the volume admits a role in a deal, not a company: a name let to a house somebody else runs, whoever else that name may be elsewhere.
⚑ Nothing stands here yet. Elle, FashionTV, Chelsea Football Club, the two unrelated Paramounts, Bentley Home, Porsche Design, Tonino Lamborghini and Louvre Abu Dhabi all wait on the criterion for admitting a brand, which is not the Library’s alone to settle. A volume declared before it is filled is how LHL-U was opened too.
