The Palace Company

OwnerOperator

Position

A Mexican group built on the Cancún all-inclusive market, holding Le Blanc Spa Resorts, Moon Palace and Beach Palace among others. It took **75 per cent of Baglioni’s holding company Cogeta Spa in November 2022 and became sole shareholder in October 2023**. Guido Polito stayed as chief executive through the first stage and left at the second.

⚑ Why the Library noticed

Because our own Baglioni entry said the wrong thing. It recorded ownership as private and Polito-family, which had been true and had stopped being true. A Mexican all-inclusive group owning an Italian city-hotel house is the kind of fact a register exists to hold, and ours did not hold it until the resorts side sent Le Blanc and Baglioni in the same letter — which is how the connection surfaced.

Candour

⚑ Our Baglioni article still lists Baglioni London, which left the brand in 2024 for Accor, and that correction is outstanding. Deal percentages and dates are from trade press rather than from filings.

Holdings

What the register records this entity as holding, and in what capacity.

Notes on the series. Hotel-native institutions enter as cross-references inside the article of the house that holds them, not as separate codes — a bar or spa receives its own entry only when it has become a name in its own right. Seasonal and fashion collaborations are recorded as dated lines within a house, never as entries. Residential clinics and estates, however wellness-led, belong to the main register: they sell nights. Entries carry permanent LHL-S codes once published; drafts await verification by two independent sources. · Published by LVXVRY under Editorial Manifesto LHL-001 v1.6.
