1 · POSITION

Njord is an announcement. Meyer Werft stated on 30 July 2021 that it had taken an order from Ocean Residences Development Ltd for M/Y Njord, a vessel of 289.30 metres carrying 117 apartments, to be completed by the end of 2025, and that the order was still subject to financing. 2 · WHAT WAS DRAWN

Boat International reported on 11 March 2021 that the exterior was the work of Espen Øino and the interior that of the Italian studio FM Architettura, with its co-founder Francesca Muzio working alongside him. The report gave 118 private residences in twenty configurations, running from 116 to 800 square metres with two to six bedrooms, and a further sixteen guest and butler suites. No residence had then been built. [2]

3 · THE HOSPITALITY THAT WAS PROMISED

The published programme ran to six restaurants and bars, a Chenot spa and wellness centre with its own gym, and a wine cellar of ten thousand bottles. A nightclub, a jazz lounge, a golf simulator, a kids club and a concierge hospital were listed beside them. The earlier report added a telescope observatory lounge on the top deck, two outdoor pools, an indoor hydro pool and an inflatable marina of 500 square metres at the stern. [2, 3]

4 · THE RESIDENCES WERE PUT ON SALE

On 22 September 2022 the estate agency The Agency announced that it had been appointed to represent the first ten residences. Its material gave 117 private residences across fifteen custom floor plans, running from 1,500 to 9,000 square feet with two to six bedrooms, priced from 8.5 to 70 million dollars. Kitchen cabinetry was credited to Studio Becker and the built-in appliances to Gaggenau. [3]

5 · ⚑ CANDOUR

⚑ The ship does not exist, and nothing in this entry is a claim that it will. The builder’s own release made the order subject to financing. Length was published on one day as 289.30 metres by the yard and 280.3 metres by the trade press; the residence count appears as 117 and as 118. No source fetched establishes the project’s state after September 2022, and neither delivery nor cancellation could be confirmed. [1–4]
