1 · POSITION
Vietnam Airlines describes the Lotus Lounge as a premium airport lounge service owned and operated by the airline itself, rather than bought in from a contractor. Its own page names Noi Bai in Hanoi, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City. Elsewhere the airline uses partner-run Business Lounges, at international airports and at Vietnamese airports without a Lotus Lounge. The room is presented as an elegant, quiet, private and fully equipped waiting area before departure. [1]
2 · THE TABLE IN THE AIR IS A NATIONAL ONE
The airline heads its food section dining amid the clouds and says the aim is to promote Vietnamese cuisine to international passengers. Business Class meal pre-ordering is free, while LotusDeli meals are charged and the fees are non-refundable. The same page states that in-flight entertainment does not differ between Business, Premium Economy and Economy, and that equipment varies by aircraft and class. Wi-Fi is available on certain flights using A350 aircraft. [2]
3 · TERMINAL 3 HOLDS TWO LOUNGES
At the new Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat the airline operates two rooms on the fourth floor. The Lotus Premier Lounge sits opposite Boarding Gate 13 and is reserved for Million Milers and their accompanying guests; the Lotus Lounge sits opposite Gate 10 and serves Platinum and Gold members and Business Class passengers. Amenities listed include a diverse buffet, quiet workspaces, private shower rooms and secluded relaxation areas. Both are described as open layouts filled with natural light. [3]
4 · CHECK-IN BECOMES A ROOM OF ITS OWN
From 15 October 2025 the airline introduced a Check-in Lounge at Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat. It covers more than 270 square metres beside the terminal’s first entrance and has a private entrance, completely separate from public areas. The room holds six private check-in counters and 68 seats. A dedicated service team completes the check-in formalities for the guest, so the queue is removed rather than shortened. [4]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ The airline’s own lounge page is not consistent about which airports hold a Lotus Lounge, naming four in one section and two in another. No opening date is published for either Terminal 3 lounge, nor for the Noi Bai Terminal 2 room, which is said only to have commenced operations. Floor area is given for the Check-in Lounge alone. On the A320neo the airline states that Business Class seats have the same configuration as Economy. [1–5]
