Aman never built the aircraft it announced; it linked the houses it already had with somebody else’s.
Position
Remote Lands, the Asia specialist, charters an aircraft to fly a circuit of Aman houses, with the hospitality supplied entirely by the properties on the ground and the aircraft supplied by the charter.
Why it is in the Library
It is the sane version of the branded-jet idea. A hotel group with houses in places that are hard to connect does not need to own an aircraft — it needs the aircraft to exist for two weeks a year. Ritz-Carlton announced a jet product this Library could not verify and LHL-361 stands withdrawn; Aman reached the same objective by chartering. The distinction between owning a category and using one is the entry.
What this model does not solve
⚑ Thin. The operator relationship, the aircraft, the frequency and whether the programme currently runs were not established here. A brand experience assembled from a third party’s aircraft is also a brand experience the brand does not control at 41,000 feet.
