1 · POSITION
Qetaifan Projects puts a waterpark near the centre of an island's appeal. A wholly owned subsidiary of Katara Hospitality, the developer is responsible for Qetaifan Island North in Lusail. Its plan brings a resort hotel, Meryal Waterpark, retail and residential development together, giving the island both overnight guests and reasons for a day visit.[1]
2 · A ROOM WITH WATERPARK ACCESS
Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North makes that relationship explicit in its room categories: several include Meryal Waterpark access in their names. The operator also presents a private beach, restaurants and a multi-inclusive holiday format. An attraction that might elsewhere require a separate excursion becomes part of the accommodation purchase, although the precise entitlements remain subject to the booked offer.[2]
3 · INDUSTRY BECOMES ENTERTAINMENT
Meryal's design draws on Qatar's oil and gas history. The developer identifies its signature tower as the Rig 1938, giving an industrial reference a conspicuous place in a leisure landscape. It is a different narrative from the quiet beach retreat: slides, machinery-inspired imagery and family activity become the island's most recognisable invitation.[3]
4 · DIFFERENT RHYTHMS ON ONE ISLAND
The resort also contains an Anjana spa with a Turkish hammam, while Rixy Kids Club provides supervised activities. These facilities broaden the experience beyond the waterpark's dominant spectacle. In development terms, that variety matters: a family can share an address while its members spend parts of the day differently. The hotel turns a collection of attractions into a possible length of stay.[1, 2]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ Qetaifan Projects is the developer; Rixos is the hotel brand and operator. Their roles should remain legible. Published descriptions also count waterpark rides and slides differently, while height records may concern a tower or an individual slide. Those claims require their own definitions and verification; they are unnecessary to explain why the hotel and attraction were placed together.[1–3]
