1 · POSITION
Oman Air introduced Business Studio as its long-haul business cabin, and said guests would be able to book it from 9 September 2024. The airline describes classic lie-flat seats with privacy walls for every seat, at a pitch it gives as 82 inches and calls one of the world’s most generous. It names the London and Bangkok services as the routes that principally carry the cabin. Dining is set out as à la carte. [1]
2 · A DOOR CLOSES ON THE SEAT
Oman Air publishes a separate description for the Business Studio Private Suite. It sets out extra tall, soft closing sliding doors, with an arch shape worked into each private suite door, and a canopy behind the headrest. The suite carries a personal wardrobe for jackets and coats, an ottoman compartment for cabin baggage, and a chilled minibar of beverages and snacks. Touchscreen panels at the console hold seat positions in a memory function. [2]
3 · THE MEAL HAS NO TIMETABLE
The airline sets out a fully on-demand à la carte menu drawn from Omani, Arabic and International cuisine, served at any time and in any order. It states that its caviar service is an integral part of the Business Studio dining experience. A wine selection and further beverage menus accompany the food. The airline heads this account as award winning intuitive service, placing the absence of a fixed meal schedule at the centre of its claim. [3]
4 · THE ROOM BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT
At Muscat, Oman Air writes that the decors of its departure lounge accentuate the historical influence of the country, with the desert and mountain landscapes as reference. The lounge holds prayer rooms, private nap areas, a kids’ room, a family room, a business centre and a luggage room that takes the bags on arrival. Aboard the 787 the airline says guests continue to be served by its diverse international and Omani cabin crew, under mood lighting set for boarding, dining and rest. [4, 5]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ Two products are described on separate pages and should not be merged: the Business Studio cabin is given privacy walls, while the Private Suite is given sliding doors. The 82-inch pitch and the phrase about the world’s most generous pitches are the airline’s own. The 9 September 2024 date is when booking opened, not a date of installation across the fleet. No page fetched dates the Muscat lounge or names a seat or interior designer. [1–5]
