1 · POSITION
On the Airbus A350-900 Malaysia Airlines keeps four seats in a cabin it calls Business Suite. The airline describes each suite as a private sanctuary, complete with retractable privacy doors, in a spacious 1-2-1 layout. At 23 inches wide, the seat transforms into a fully flat 83-inch bed. A trade report dated 12 December 2018 records the name as a rebranding of the first class product carried on the A350-900 and the A380. [1, 4]
2 · TWO BUSINESS CABINS ON ONE AIRCRAFT
Behind the four suites sit the seats sold simply as Business Class. Each of the 35 seats is 22 inches wide with a 44-inch pitch and reclines into a fully flat 78-inch bed. The screens differ with the cabin: 24 inches in the suite, 16 inches behind it. One aircraft therefore offers two graded versions of a flat bed, and the door is what separates them. [1]
3 · THE MEAL CHOSEN BEFORE DEPARTURE
Passengers in both forward cabins may pre-select from what the airline calls a specially curated menu of its signature dishes, served at the first main meal service. Orders out of Kuala Lumpur must be placed at least 24 hours before departure, and at least 36 hours on the return. All meals served on board, the airline states, including Business Class Chef-on-Call meals, are halal. A rotating Best of Malaysia menu dates its dishes. [2]
4 · THE GOLDEN LOUNGE AT KUALA LUMPUR
The Satellite Golden Lounge operates twenty-four hours. Within the lounges the airline separates a Platinum room reserved for its Platinum passengers, a sports bar, a nap area, a prayer room, showers and a family area. The food runs to a live noodle station, kueh, Teh Tarik and a buffet of local and international dishes. Entry is not permitted earlier than three hours before departure, and only on the same calendar day as the flight. [3]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ Every dimension above belongs to the Airbus A350-900 and must not be read across other types. The description of Business Suite as a renaming of first class is a trade report’s, dated 12 December 2018; the airline’s own pages fetched here do not date the product. The Melaka instalment of Best of Malaysia ran from 1 to 31 October 2026 on selected flights only, and is not a standing menu. The register’s founding year of 1947 was not confirmed by any page fetched. [1–4]
