1 · POSITION
Chantiers de l’Atlantique delivered Luminara at Saint-Nazaire on 3 June 2025, the third vessel for this owner after Evrima in 2022 and Ilma in 2024. The collection’s specification sheet gives 46,750 gross tons, 452 guests, 226 suites and 374 officers and crew, over eight guest decks with public areas from Deck 3 to Deck 10. Every suite carries a private ocean-view terrace. Operations were to begin that July in the Mediterranean. [1, 3]
2 · A NEW NAME AT THE TOP OF THE LADDER
Luminara’s ladder runs to ten categories. Among them is The Residential, which the collection announced as a new and expansive accommodation when reservations opened, together with The Luminara and The Concierge, the two upper categories given at a thousand square feet. The interiors were drawn by Chapi Chapo Design and AD Associates with lighting by DPA, and the exterior by Aivan. The Residential appears on neither sister’s list of categories. [1, 2]
3 · SEVEN BARS, FIVE RESTAURANTS AND A FLOATING PLATFORM
The French shipbuilders’ association recorded at delivery seven bars, five restaurants, a panoramic pool and a marina with a floating platform. The collection, opening reservations a year and a half earlier, described an expanded marina giving direct access to the sea, a Ritz-Carlton Spa, an extensive wine collection and larger suites of the kind introduced on Ilma. Seatrade Cruise recorded 226 all-balcony suites at handover. [2, 3, 4]
4 · THE FIRST VOYAGE WAS DATED TWICE
When reservations opened in January 2024 the collection set the maiden voyage for 31 July 2025, a seven-night round trip from Rome. At handover in June 2025 Seatrade Cruise reported an inaugural voyage on 3 July from Monte Carlo. The shipbuilders’ association wrote only that operations would start in July 2025 in the Mediterranean. The three accounts agree on the month and on nothing finer than that. [2, 3, 4]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ Her length is 790 feet, or 241 metres, on the collection’s own specification sheet and 794 feet, or 242 metres, in the collection’s press release and in both delivery reports; the two figures come from one house. Her first voyage is dated 31 July from Rome and 3 July from Monte Carlo. The gross tonnage rests on the specification sheet alone, and no source listed here names a single restaurant aboard her.
