Operating from Hamburg with in-house acoustic and design capability, the VIP and Special Aircraft Services division carries out full completions across Airbus and Boeing wide-bodies for heads of state and private owners. Its published concepts — SkyRetreat, and CelestialSTAR for the BBJ 777-9 — are design arguments issued in advance of orders, and it has worked with Mercedes-Benz Style on cabin interiors.
Why it is in the Library
It is the clearest case of a *maintenance* organisation doing hospitality. Everything the division knows about keeping an airline fleet flying — vibration, acoustics, certification, thousands of hours of scheduled work — is what makes a VVIP cabin quiet and legal. The Library records it because the competence came from the opposite end of aviation from the one the guest imagines.
What this model does not solve
