FIVE Private Jet — ACJ TwoTwenty

The ACJ TwoTwenty puts wide-body living space on a narrow-body airframe, and a Dubai hotel group was among the first to treat one as a room in its portfolio.

Position

Airbus positioned the ACJ TwoTwenty as bringing wide-body space to a narrow-body platform: 785 square feet of cabin, about six times a conventional large-cabin business jet, at markedly lower operating cost than a true wide-body. The manufacturer’s own Melody concept lays it out as lounge, private bar, dining for eight, and a master bedroom with en-suite — a floor plan rather than a seating configuration.

Why it is in the Library

A hotel group operating an aircraft as an extension of its rooms is the clearest instance of the argument this Part exists to make. Not a charter arrangement or a partnership: the same brand, the same service standard, sold as continuous with the hotel. It is what Ritz-Carlton attempted and could not verify — LHL-361 stands withdrawn — done by a smaller house that did it.

What this model does not solve

⚑ This entry is thinner than its neighbours. The delivery date, the configuration as flown and the commercial terms were not established to the standard applied to Gulfstream or Jet Aviation, and the entry says so rather than filling the gaps. A hotel brand on a fuselage also carries the same exposure Palazzo Versace demonstrated on a building.
