Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines was founded on 21 December 1945 and began scheduled service on 8 April 1946, flying to Cairo via Asmara. Its hospitality importance developed with Addis Ababa's role as a connecting hub: the airline serves travellers both in the aircraft and during the interval between flights, when movement temporarily gives way to waiting, eating and rest. 2 · A NETWORK AROUND A HUB

The airline's present account describes an African and intercontinental network centred on Addis Ababa, alongside partnerships supporting other regional hubs. This creates several kinds of journey through Ethiopia, including transfers whose passengers may not enter the city.
