1 · POSITION
Air Mauritius states that its Business Class seats convert to full-flat beds fitted out with premium bedding, including a duvet. Every seat is given direct access to the aisle, and the airline asks the passenger to cocoon themselves in a personal space. The full-flat claim is attached to the Airbus A350-900, which the airline calls the flagship of its fleet, and to the Airbus A330-900neo. [1, 2]
2 · THE WINE LIST IS SIGNED
The table is credited to a named person. Air Mauritius says its wine selection is curated by master sommelier David Biraud, who was awarded Best Sommelier of France in 2002. The food is described as a blend of flavours derived from Indian, Chinese, Creole and European influences, and is served with full tray service. Champagne is handled separately again, sold in advance as something the passenger adds to the flight. [1, 4]
3 · WHAT THE PASSENGER IS HANDED
Each seat carries a high-definition personal screen and complimentary noise-cancelling headsets. The amenity bag holds lip balm, hand cream, body mist, a dental kit and more. Panoramic window seats are offered, and advance seat selection is free within the cabin. The account is one of objects and small permissions rather than of measurements, which the airline does not publish for this seat at all. [1]
4 · A LOUNGE ON TWO LEVELS
At Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport the airline keeps the Amédée Maingard Lounge, which extends over a sprawling space of 1860 square metres in the new terminal. It is divided in two: the Tamarin Lounge on the first level and the Chamarel Lounge on the second, which overlooks the airport runway. Shower suites are provided with toiletries, hair dryers and towels. Access is complimentary with a Business Class boarding pass. [1, 3]
5 · ⚑ CANDOUR
⚑ The full-flat claim is the airline’s own and is attached to the A350-900 and the A330-900neo; the pages fetched do not extend it to the A330-200 or to the ATR fleet. No seat width, pitch or bed length is published on any page consulted, so none is given here. The lounge page does not say when the lounge opened, nor who Amédée Maingard was. The register’s founding year of 1967 was not confirmed by any Air Mauritius page fetched. [1–4]
